데릭 왕자(Derek: 브라이언 니슨 목소리 분)의 활약으로 평화와 안정을 누리게 된 왕국은 축제 준비에 한창이다. 로스바트(Rothbart: 숀 라이트 목소리 분)와 함께 금지된 마법을 만들던 마녀 젤다(Zelda: 카탸 조치 목소리 분)는 로스바트가 파멸한 뒤 조용히 숨어 지내며 복수를 준비하고 있다. 어느 날 우연히 젤다는 그가 남긴 마법의 공식을 기록한 문서가 성 어딘가에 숨겨져 있다는 사실을 알게 된다. 마법의 공식을 손에 쥐어 세상을 자기 것으로 만들고자 하는 젤다는 한 번 들은 목소리는 그대로 흉내 낼 수 있는 신비한 능력을 가진 귀여운 황새 휘슬러를 협박해 마법의 공식이 어디 있는가를 알아오라고 명령한다. 폐기시킨 것으로 알려진 마법의 공식은 사실은 데릭 왕자와 로저스 경이 혹시 좋은 일에 쓸까해 성 깊은 곳에 잘 보관해 두었던 것. 오데뜨 공주(Odette: 미쉘 니카스트로 목소리 분)는 빨리 그 문서를 없애버리라고 종용하지만, 왕자는 축제가 끝나면 없애겠다며 미루던 중이다. 이웃나라 여자로 분장한 젤다는 로저스 경의 마음을 사로잡아 마법의 문서가 숨겨진 성안의 비밀장소를 알아내 결국 문서를 손에 넣는데 성공한다. 그러나 파괴의 마법은 끝 부분이 찢겨져 있었고 그걸 왕자가 따로 보관하고 있다는 걸 안 젤다는 오데뜨를 납치해서 그 조각을 가져오라고 왕자를 유인한다. 원하는 것을 손에 넣은 후 오데뜨를 없애려고 하는데.
