홍콩에서 막강한 조직력과 세력을 갖고 있는 '홍성파'는 호시탐탐 다른 폭력 조직의 목표가 되면서 존립이 흔들리게 된다. 또다른 폭력 조직 '동성파는 홍성파를 와해시킬 목적으로 홍성의 두목을 살해하고 이를 은폐하기 위해 홍성파의 부두목인 '진호남' (정이건 분)에게 누명을 씌우고 '홍성파'의 내분을 노린다. 한편, '진호남'의충직한 부하 '삼계'(진소춘 분)는 자신이 모시는 '진호남'을 위해 동성파의 두목을 폭행하는데 '동성파'의 까마귀라는 인물은 이런 상황을 이용, 조직을 차지할 욕심으로 자신의 두목을 살해, '삼계'에게 죄를 뒤집어 씌운다. 누명을 쓴 '삼계'는 이 일로 경찰서에 끌려가지만 증거 불충분으로 풀려 나고 '진호남'의 누명을 벗길 수 있는 비밀 테입을 제공받는 대가로 '삼계'는 동성파 일망타진을 위한 수사에 협조할 것을 약속하는데.

Three screens display how the day’s light passes by: from the early morning light until late at night. Along with the woman the artist walks through the forest, in the same rhythm, the same pace. Off-screen she looks through the camera, fragmenting time. The age-old androgynous trees are a vertical constant along which the woman moves, as if in an interval between visibility and invisibility, between sound and silence, while the light keeps on evolving metabletically.

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

The documentary was filmed in Toronto, Canada; and in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York in the US.
